What was PM Modi’s commitment during the UNFCCC’s 26th Conference of Parties (COP) at Glasgow?

PM Modi made five commitments called ‘panchamrit’ which are: achieve net-zero
emissions by 2070, increase non-fossil energy capacity to 500 gigawatts (GW), fulfilling
50 percent of energy requirements from renewable sources, reduce the carbon intensity
of an economy by 45 percent, and reducing total projected carbon emissions by 1 billion
tonnes.
